2026 KENYA
ORIGIN TRIP

The beginning of the year is always busy as the harvest is in full swing across producing countries. Our team has been out in the field visiting our producer friends, which started with Bjørnar visiting Kenya in the end of January 🇰🇪

Bjørnar travelled together with our good friend Per from @kafferaven where they spent the week with @dormans_coffee cupping lots of delicious coffees. Having not been in Kenya for many years, Bjørnar enjoyed seeing Dorman's new office and lab. Our contact, Benjamin Briot prepared a selection of coffees for us based on coffees we have had in the past but also coffees designated for auction. It is always interesting to taste coffees year after year seeing how the quality and flavor profiles develop. We are excited to receive these coffees in Oslo and to get them on the menu!

While in Kenya, Bjørnar was also able to visit the Mugaga Farmers  Co-op Society (F.C.S.), specifically the Kiamabara factory. While there, he met Domittire, the Kiamabara manager and Onesimus the factory chairman. The Kiamabara factory we established in 1974 and has 1500 members. Kiamabara was a favorite of our coffee menu last year and we are looking forward to continue working with them and their fantastic coffee!
