Generations of the Patre family have dedicated their lives to caring for the land that has rewarded their passion and perseverance.
Ratnagiri literally means "pearl mountains" and is named after the silver oaks that give shade to the coffee plants, giving a silvery hue to the hills where the farm is located.
The family pays particular attention to shade and water and the farm follows strict quality standards in order to produce high quality coffees. Indeed, the plantation is designed to achieve 50% shade and the farm is supplied with spring water from two streams in the nearby mountain.
