Hambela Wamena is one of the woredas in the Oromia Region of Ethiopia. The term Woreda is used to describe zones or districts in Ethiopia. Hambela Wamena is a part of the West Guji Zone and used to be a part of Uraga woreda. 

Smallholder farmers in the Hambela area deliver their coffee cherries to be processed. This coffee is a natural processed coffee, which means the cherries are sorted and then dried on raised beds until the desired moisture content is reached. 

Heleanna Georgalis runs Moplaco Trading and sources coffees to be exported as well as owning their own farm. Moplaco owns a dry processing station in Addis where they prepare the coffee to be exported, this includes hand sorting to achieve high grade quality.

Moplaco believes in giving back to the local community. The farm supports two schools in the areas where its plantations are located – The Adame school in Yirgacheffe and the Segera school in Sidamo. The farm accepts donations to pay for school supplies, uniforms, and even running water. 1,200 students attend the Segera school.

Moplaco also organizes barista courses and training for women from its community. They do this because women are the majority of the workforce in the coffee industry in Ethiopia. By improving their skills, the farm gives them a chance for a better life through professional realization.
